Yesterday (technically–since I’m writing this past midnight) my seventh grandchild was born.

I found out his name when his father called me at 4:15 pm. It’s Sulayman (not sure if I’m spelling that right). So now my three grandsons are named: Eesa, Ibraheem and Sulayman. Translation: Jesus, Abraham and Solomon.

Very prophetic!

Can’t wait to see the little guy. He weighed in at 9 lbs 4 oz. My son in law said he actually had biceps!

And in a few days I’m turning 50, masha Allah.

And a few days ago I was interviewed on one of the ‘new’ media. It’s a TV show called Rawal TV that’s broadcast on the internet, apparently in a number of different countries including Britain, Germany and Pakistan.

You can see the interview here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_899r5fSdw

I think the interview went really well. My husband thinks I didn’t give the host a chance and talked way too much.

I just think my nose is red!

I was recovering from a terrible cold and it shows. You can also hear the slight nasal tone in my voice.

Oh well, can’t be perfect.

Just finished reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

Omigosh! Talk about bleak and relentless!

But…well written! Won the Pulitzer I think!

Same guy who wrote No Country for Old Men.

Gosh, kept thinking can’t the characters catch a break!???

It’s the first book I’ve actually finished in a long time!

Well, it’s late, and I know I’m rambling but I’ve got a big pot of chicken soup to make for my convalescing daughter in the morning!

Ta!
